Multiple ways to verify

With ask verification your website generates a code. You show this to your user and pass it, along with the user's phone number, to our API. When we call the user, we will ask them to enter the validation code. If they enter it correct, we will ping a script on your website and you can proceed.

With say verification your website generates a code. But, you do not show it to your user. We will call the user and read the validation code out over the phone. The user then inputs this code into your website, and you check whether it is correct. With say verification, there is no need for us to ping your site (although we will, if you'd like).
